Yellow Fin Fairy Wrasse
Pre-Quarantined for 30 Days!
Cirrhilabrus flavidorsalis
The Yellow-fin Fairy Wrasse is sexually dimorphic. Males are red in the upper 2/3 - 3/4 portion of their body, the abdomen is pinkish to white, and there are three vertical whitish bands on the side. The dorsal fin is yellow distally, red basally, and transparent posteriorly. Pelvic fins are white, the caudal fin is pinkish, and the anal fin is white to bluish.
A 90 gallon or larger aquarium, either fish-only or reef, with a shaded area is recommended. The Yellow-fin Fairy Wrasse will not pick on corals or invertebrates, making them an ideal fish for the reef aquarium. These wrasses do like to jump, so a tight fitting canopy is necessary.
The Yellow-fin Fairy Wrasse diet should include vitamin enriched frozen mysis shrimp, vitamin enriched frozen brine shrimp, and other meaty foods along with a high quality marine flake and marine pellet food.
