White Spotted Hermit Crab

Dardanus megistros

The white spotted hermit crab also known as the hairy red leg or strawberry hermit is a very large species of hermit crab best suited to species tanks or tanks containing only large fish. Like all crabs they're opportunistic feeders and may prey on small fish and other small inverts.

If you are able to home these magnificent crabs they provide much entertainment. Their size and agility gives them instant 'wow' factor and sift through sand a rubble looking for scraps like a machine. Very cool even if slightly specialist.

Feed any meaty seafood and sinking pellet foods.
