Snails are not only fun in most marine aquariums but also very useful, as they will usually be the first residents as part of the cleanup crew.

The Astralium has a beautiful star-shaped cochlea. This snail is a very good algae eater and an essential cleaner for any marine aquarium. It mainly feeds on algae that grow on glass and living rock. You can use 5 to 10 snails per 100 litres.
